Custom-Order Auto Parts: Why They Cost More, But Are Worth It

Hi everyone! In this short video, I want to explain why custom-made parts can cost more than some of our customers expect. We often get requests to quote parts like bushings, and we answer that a single part can cost 2500 UAH. When it comes to hydraulic engine mounts, a price like that for a hydraulic mount feels fully justified, since ready-made parts can cost 15,000-20,000 UAH. But for small, specific bushings, that same 2500 UAH often causes confusion - why does it look so high?


Let me explain why that happens. All the parts we keep in stock are mass-produced, which brings the manufacturing cost down. But when you place a custom order, a completely different process kicks in. For every individual customer, we run a full development cycle: an engineer draws up the blueprints, and based on those, we produce molds, samples, and finally the finished part. That process takes real time and resources.


So when you're quoted 2500 UAH for a single bushing, it's not because anyone is trying to make extra profit. That price reflects the real cost of every stage of development and production. On top of that, few factories — say, Toyota or any other large manufacturer — would even agree to make custom parts to your specifications. We, on the other hand, are always ready to take that process on and give you a quality part, even if it costs a little more.
